Since the beginning of the 1990s, art:berlin is organizing special
interest guided tours throughout Berlin. We’re specialized on modern
architecture, the fine arts’ scene and new development patterns.
Our office
is located at Heckmann's Courtyard right in the heart of a traditional and vital
”in-district”. Here, we're planning our cultural sightseeing trips, walking
tours to art galleries, boutiques and bars, as well as very exclusive visits to

Beginning at the Scandinavian embassies it proceeds to further dipolmatic

6. Tour of Delicacies
... New restaurants are opening up every week. We will show you the most
interesting places to eat. An aperitif, a starter, a main course and dessert each in
different restaurants in Berlin-Mitte or Prenzlauer Berg. Between courses we tell you
the local stories.
7. On the trail of Jewish life
... the triangle between the new Synagogue, Oranienburger Straße and Große
Hamburger Straße used to be the centre of Berlin´s Jewish life. It was known as the
„mile of tolerance“. Search with us for traces of the old Jewish community.
8. Ten years after: where the wall used to be
... a few years later, even the Berliners asked: where was the wall? Starting from the
Allied Checkpoint Charlie to the Brandenburger Gate, we follow the route of the
wall and the history of separation.
9. Berliner Salons: society, living and culture, emancipation
... men fought wars, women discussed literature. Towards the end of the 18th
century following the trend made in France by women of the aristocracy, young
educted Jewish women like Henriette Herz of Rahel Levin established the salon
culture in Berlin.

Reichstag, Unter den Linden, Friedrichstraße, Jewish Museum, Museumsinsel, Schloß
Bellevue, Siegessäule, Kurfürstendamm, Schloß Charlottenburg, stopping at your
request.
2. Visit of the residential city Potsdam
... a drive across the Glienicker bridge passing the villas in Babelsberg and the
Kolonie Alexandrowka, with a visit to Cecilienhof Palace and Sanssouci Palace, we
end with a trip to the Holländische Viertel.

All tours are 2hs long, take place at any weather conditions and can be arranged in
all languages (englisch, french, spanish, italian, japanese, chinese). Our guides are
well trained experts in their field. Our pool of guides contains architects, artists,
journalists and historians.
